Were those videos about the teen suicides posted to prove quarantine is bad?

If by bad you mean unhealthy, yes. As stated before, the US by wealth and population percentage, we didn't do the worst job. As bunny states, we could have always done better. But I do recall when Trump was initiating restrictions, I recall a lot of push back for it because of claims of xenophobia and racism.

As far as immigration and flights into the US go. Also carried over into the immigration issues. Then again the kids in cages thing was brought up. But that didn't go away with him.

Anyway, people will indeed be selfish. Whether its in regards to fear for their own health or the well being of their neighbors.

It is hard for me to empathize since quarantine isn't much of an issue. Yet it's a good precaution against the virus. That's because Trump issued bans based on religion like his muslim ban. Trying to fight terrorism. Ironically not banning Saudi arabia the biggest supporter of Islamic based terrorism. It took two years for the 1918 pandemic to go away we should be expecting about the same timeframe. They had anti mask campaigns in 1918 too. Virus is scary so some deal with that by denial. States can open up if they want to but I doubt it'll go well.

Not everybody lives as a shut in. Not everybody is well enough off their food and shelter is provided for them during these times. Kids need to interact with other kids. Parents need breaks. Oh and also child hunger is on the rise again since that school lunch was a meal provided to kids. I'm sure its fine and nothing changed for a small percentage of people... maybe more. But I feel its an informed assumption that the people struggling with it outweigh those who aren't.

Oh I agree, I know it's different for different people. I feel for them but there is a virus out there. It does seem that the invisibility of microbes makes us forget about them easily. It's out there though. It comes with a lot of complications aswell. It'd be a better move to wait for more of the population to be vaccinated. Like what's the justification of doing it now? Would waiting several more months be that bad until vaccines are more available? Just seems they're anxious to get out without thinking about the consequences.
