i wonder why bigger cities tend to elect democrats?

I heard one theory that said that republicans tend towards manual labor and dems towards tech fields. Anecdote: My office only has 2 republicans out of 300 employees. Funfact: They are both Qanon

There were some videos that came out after the 2016 election on blue cities, red states. It almost seems like we're headed towards city-states.
