Coronavirus. Your thoughts? [Serious and Non-Serious]

the US is filled with dumb people tbh.

My mom was laid off due to the coronavirus as well as half the other people in her department. She needs a job especially now, so she is trying to work at amazon. Which scares me because she has poor health to begin with. If she gets it that will be bad. Aghhhh and im like halfway around the world. If she caught it wouldnt know.

@Panda If she got laid off, she can get unemployment equal to her paychecks until they rehire her especially now. Bring her to an unemployment office. It will take about a week.

@einkae i told her that yesterday and then today she tells me she got a job at amazon. She claims the unemployment isnt enough or something like that.

A lot of people, especially in the older generations are too proud to go to the unemployment office. They would rather have a job, be working, and feel productive. Even though staying home is the safer thing.

My mom is extremely prideful and she was like she would hate to have to move back in with my grandmother but i dont think she realizes if you die none of that matters :/

I can tell she is prideful, unemployment is literally paying you from the government the same amount your job paid you. Worst case scenario is $100 less at max and that is if you are a horrible person/make to much money.

A quick search will let you know that you will NOT infact get 100%of what you made, when you get unemployment. Infact, it'll probably be less than half of what you were making.
