i am indeed saying someone can't take their own life. that's a weird thing to say though, how can you not be mad at someone for taking their own life when they could've gotten counseling, help from friends, help from family etc. situations in which you can't get any help are extremely rare. you can always rebuild and repair your life, unless you are mentally ill (this doesn't include depression)

I will admit it's a weird topic for me. I don't really support suicide but at the same time I don't think someone should be punished or degraded for it. A lot of people who commit suicide do have an illness. A lot of times people who commit suicide or consider it or not able to get any help due to economical reasons as well as sometimes just their family will not allow them to do it and so they will have absolutely no access to help regardless of if they want it or not. You might actually be surprised at how common it really is that people will not listen and will say you do not need help and not allow them to get help. I know at least 5 or 10 people all of whom I met in a short span of time in that exact situation. So basically it's just a weird thing for me. Do I think it's wrong to take your own life? Yes I do but at the same time I look at it more as a bad choice rather than a horrifying thing. If they take their own life then that's just the end of it, I don't judge their character further and I don't think of them as a bad person, I just think they made a bad choice and I'm sorry to hear it but I don't see it on the same level as them killing somebody else oh, forgive me if I misunderstood and you don't also see suicide on the same level as killing another person.

I agree but some people face some cruel and nightmarish hardships sometimes counselling doesn't always help I agree with family and close friends trying to help some times it isn't always easy to fix or rebuild your life sometimes I have had some suicidal thoughts recently due to depression and endless piles of debt I'm trying to clear dealing with my mom who is a alcoholic but if I took my own life I know the devastation it would leave i dont think its right to take your own life but i can see why suicide is a option for alot of people

I guess I would feel anger depending on who it was but it would be more of anger stemming from my own sense of loss. Kind of a selfish anger in my opinion. Anger that they couldn't see my way of thinking and stay alive, that I couldn't talk to them any more.

The debate was one sided cause you kept forcing it to adhere to your logic yes. The way you school debate ver. Debating someone on the Internet are 2 different things. Facts don’t always win it’s how there used and ontop of making sure the fact is correct lol

Tis why it’s facts in logic

i used a friggin statistic website just to prove i didn't need to debate in his way, it was the first thing that came up on my search engine

That’s exactly the issue. Search results are skewed you do know that right? Just cause what you search up agrees with you doesn’t make it right or wrong. It’s not about debating in his way it’s that, you, are so drenched in your own negativity of attaching your opinion to your emotions to assert that the other person has to do so as well but then the concept of good debate to you stops and ends in a rational opinion whether you see that or not. It makes the debate end in a circle, no one can actually learn anything except save for how either person operates.

It’s kinda odd that at first you would say something akin to Opinion matters most at first The feelings and facts matter most in a debate where your valueing the feeling attached to your opinion yet preface way before you don’t care bout stats until pushed to. It’s a whole lot easier to just chose to not be mad or let things get to you, which would make the only thing that’s actually consistent in your counter points reasoning is, that your just getting frustrated.

I only skimmed parts of this because I was still waking up but I am pro gun but I can kind of see why he feels the way he does and argues the way he does. He values human life greatly so honestly it makes sense that he sees no value in guns because he is correct. The point of Guns is 100% to harm something else. No matter how you spin it, it is to inflict harm even if it's self-defense. You may say it's to deter other people to protect yourself but why is it supposed to deter? Because if you get serious you can harm them or kill them. Like I said I Am pro good and I don't think the object itself is wrong but I can understand why he views things the way he does even if I do not fully agree with it myself
