all diets need supplementation, do you disagree?

I disagree, a well balanced diet does not need supplements. And an omnivorous diet can provide a well balanced diet easier than compared to a plant based diet.
Again this is only true if we assume the person does not suffer from any condition which necessitates him to have supplements.

but your own study shows that many omnivores were deficient. i can also say a vegan just needs to eat more leafy greens to get their iron up.

It does show that some of them are deficient, but the underlying cause for that is menstruation or other factors. Which is why we compare two mentruating groups with one confounding factor different (ie. veg or non-veg) to eliminate the base problems. And in such a comparison, we find a significant differnce in the groups, thus suggesting causation.

"They found that 66% of vegetarians and 65% of non-vegetarians failed to meet the recommended daily allowance of iron (14-18mg). Furthermore, there was no significant difference in serum iron levels between the two groups. In fact, both vegetarians and non-vegetarians had high rates of iron deficiency. These results suggest that while female college students have a high risk of iron deficiency, a vegetarian diet alone does not increase this risk."

That study u have linked is not peer reviewed, so not accurate. Also the study I linked was a study which compiled data from all available peer reviewed studies at the time ^^ It was not a single article.

Yeah the citation u provided shows no significant difference. But that study only has 49 participants which is really low to make a decisive conclusion. The sheer amount of data alone makes the study I linked better, also the study I provided was from Pubmed.
