How many genders are identified?

hell_hound7
this might be a sensitive topic for some and i dont mean to offend but i dont think transgenders should be included in this. becuase usually they are trying to become the opposite gender of what they were born as. so they are that gender and nothing else. even if they dont want to be considered either or want to be both. still comes back to the same thing

no im talking about the other genders like gender fluid or agender
momoichi
the other genders? idc about xD

be whatever you feel like...if you wanna be a butterfly be a butterfly, im not hating on those who claim to be genderfluid or whatever. just to me there are only 2 and will only be 2.

It is like the master of disguise situation where if it is good enough surgery no one will notice you used to be the other sex unless you say it outloud. Honestly if I did not know that I wouldn't be able to tell. If they did tell me I would tell them "Okay good for you, and that is your business, but you felt like changing it to suit your needs. Not on facts." After any sex change it is most of the time permanent. Depends on what stage you are in. Well let's say this then...if someone did get a sex change there is only one option to change your genitalia to. The opposite sex of course. I may have trailed off of the forum topic by talking about sex changes, but to put it back on there is literally ever only two genders to have. Like people pulling down their pants ever have one or the other. No in between or something different.

The simple answer is in your pants and does not have to be this complicated. @Lamby it's all good. This is a serious discussion type topic.

Nowadays, at least in the profession of Social Work, gender is seen as a performance of socially and culturally defined traits and not being the same as biological identifiers (having a penis or vagina). Sexually/Biologically you could be a man, but deem your performance to be female, if that makes any sense. There's also many people with a combination of different genitalia (people we would refer to as intersex), and in these cases, it suddenly can become much more complicated to define people as just a man or a woman. Some people don't like all the labels and terms, and I get that. It goes against what we've all been taught most of our lives. Whether you agree with what people identify as or not, just respect the human being behind it all. For example, I had someone I assessed at work who identified as a wolf; that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but hey, my job isn't to go around correcting people. If that's what they wanna be and it makes them comfortable, then fine. As long as it doesn't lead to problems for themselves or others, I say who cares what people identify as.

@blood&icecream Very true, and there are others?! What are they?! Sorry my scientific and adventurous curiosity is slipping out again. Unless all the things you talk about are only titles then man disappoint city here I come.
