A link to a Youtube playlist I made a year ago for my niece. If you follow those youtubers from start to finish in order your drawing and painting should improve. The ending branches out into various things you can do with those skills because again it was meant for my niece who hadn't decided yet. As for this thread, I hope you all will post art related questions that someone will be able to describe or demonstrate. I think this way of improving is more fun.

I've been doing the same thing for my niece. For her birthdays and Christmas, I load her up with art supplies.

Nice! It's outrageous how expensive traditional art supplies still are. For the longest time I didn't want to practice the basics because it felt like wasting paper/money to just draw lines, shapes and shadows.

I just got her some prisma colors. It was a medium sized starter set. Then I threw in some paper. It was expensive but it doesn't sound like much lol.
