As a part of gen z i left Christianity because there were too many contradictions, the history is extremely corrupt, it was forced upon me by my family and was told there was no other way only this way, I started noticing predatory strategies when converting members that's actually how they got my mom by targeting her when she was at her lowest since I was christian because of my grandparents but my mom wasn't really all there, that there isn't any actual evidence to support it and is mostly left up to faith which isn't enough for me at least since feelings aren't always right it should be a combination of feeling and evidence, not to mention that a lot of what the Bible teaches I don't really support or like, it'll have something good on one page like we should strive for forgiveness, but then in the next chapter you get Moses claiming God told him to commit genocide, it can also be pretty misogynistic since it's repeatedly shown that men sleep around and that's okay but as soon as a women do it you stone her to death or some other weird punishment the most lenient would be banishing her like these punishments were bad, not to mention the Bible seemed to be okay with slavery as long as it wasn't those who worshipped God, i still believe in God but the god in Christianity isn't the one I want to believe in

They never told me everytime i asked they would just tell me "the real Christians" and that's it I just know that they really disliked the Catholics so we were definitely not Catholics

Its usually always people who have grown up in a religious family that forced it on them that tend to hate it the most. I feel finding God on your own with a strong childhood foundation is key. People who usually go to catholic schools are in the same boat as they grow up hating religion. Really speaks volumes. I grew up with my grandmother who was baptist always showing me stuff and the like and taking me to church even when i didnt wanna go. However i then took ok religion on my own. I feel if you actually have a relationship with God and not just pray because ur told to it makes more sense. Like ik you cant make everyone believe. But its disheartening to see people outright reject the faith. Like why does believing in God cause you so much grief that you outright reject it? Also the bible isnt a book its a library a culmination of books written by men from various time periods.

Yeah ik it's a library of books and i was never resistant to the religion itself i would wake up at 6 am without being told when i was like 3 or 4 because I wanted to go to church but throughout the years i slowly lost faith in Christianity i didn't lose faith in God as I've said i still believe in God i lost faith in Christians it was forced upon me since i was taught it was the only way but i didn't resist it at all and it's not like i randomly woke up one day and said "ya know what i'm not a Christian anymore" i only just came to terms that i don't believe in Christianity last year even though I've been conflicted about it for a long time. I believe God exists but I don't like Christianity. I like some of it's core principles but with Christianity you either accept all of it or none of it and somethings involved in Christianity i can never accept
