I relate to Rain's meme as I am one step away from adding that feature to my own fence. My brother has razor wire on his.

So I have a serious question. Bullying isn’t tolerated here is it? Because that is what my girlfriend and I are currently experiencing from one rather toxic person on this site who is somehow “exempt” from MO’s rules.

The reality is this site isn't governed by any particular set of rules. You can report it to a Mod, but they are unpaid volunteers who have lives of their own. It's assumed everyone here are adults above the age of 18 and can manage on their own affairs. My recommendation would be to not engage with said individual. Your girlfriend is free to make another account and remain anonymous as can you. If you don't do anything to out your ideny I doubt that person can follow you.

What the hell are you talking about? This has nothing to do with neoliberal economics. Its just basic arithmetic. No fancy pansy economics. Mathematically how you stated the problem. He earned $400, not $500. First he turned $800 into $1000. At that point he has $200 profit. He buys another cow at $1100 and sells at $1300. That's another $200 profit. $200 + $200 = $400 profit. I guess I'm one of the stupid ones because I know basic arithmetic, Lol. its really simple (Total proceeds) - (Total cost basis) = Total gain or loss. https://i.ani.me/0327/2911/grey.jpg If instead the problem was set up as follows: "guy bought a cow for $800 and then sold it for $1,000, then bought it again for $1,000 and then sold it for $1,100 then bought it again for $1,100 and then sold it for $1,300." Then the arithmetic would be as follows. $800 into $1000, which is $200 profit. Then $1000 to $1100, which is $100 profit. Then $1100 to $1300, which is $200 dollar profit. Then you would be correct. $200 +$100+ $200= $500. But mathematically how the problem is described. It is a 400 dollar profit, not $500. You think they are the same $500 dollar problem. But they are calculated differently.

When your job tells you you're not approved for medical leave, fuck 'em. Got time to find another dime, bitches. Or rather, I won't give them the respect of ANY notice of leaving ASAP. Hope shit changes quick, because I will, real quick.
