There's a lot of places I'd like to visit and my list order always changes. Right now it's a toss up between Cairo and somewhere in the Himalayas. In Cairo I'd just entertain my boyhood dreams of visiting Ancient Egyptian ruins like Giovanni Belzoni. https://lp-cms-production.imgix.net/news/2019/02/Cairo-market.jpg I found out recently I have a lot of ancestry around the Himalayas and I like the spiritual culture from there. @thesailingteacup I'm sure whoever you ask there would say it originated in their country knowing what I know about those cultures. XD It probably originated in Ancient Egypt. Lapus lazuli was very prized even more than gold. Egypt was rich in gold but had to import lapus lazuli from Afghanistan. It was something only royalty could posess. The blue reminded people of the sky so it had a religious significance. Eventually artisans found a cheap way to create blue in ceramic. Lapus lazuli was still valued but now a common person could own something blue. I figure that's what started it and it spread all over those regions. @thesailingteacup The Persian empire would have gotten it from Egypt. Persia as an empire back then came around 550bc while Egypt emerged around 3100bc. Although I'm sure most Persians would come up with a fabrication to say they came up with it. I know their kind. XD Do you like Persian gardens? I'd like to see a big one. Well, I know I'm going to Poland once corona decides not to be a global chode. I plan on tracing back my family and checking out Warsaw and the countryside. I'm also going to go to the town my family is named after which would be Sobocin, Poland.

Same! Although I really don't have money for a plane ticket, so I wouldn't be able to even with a partner. It's a nice thing to think about though :)
