Random thought but guess it belongs in politics considering everything happening right now with trans bills. Some time ago, somewhere in these threads we discussed transitioning minors and a few of us agreed that if they were reversible, delaying puberty might be fine, especially if the person decides they no longer want to transition, it would prevent them from body modification and surgery. As far as reversing goes, I don't think that is an accurate description because there are side effects to every thing you put in your body. More places are listing warnings now for long term use side effects like Mayo Clinic: Growth spurts Bone growth and density Future fertility — depending on when pubertal blockers are started Something that I have caught twice in the last week, one instance regarding Jaz Jennings the other the recent Jubilee Trans V Detrans discuss transitioning, people are not talking about how using puberty blockers stunts growth, not just in height but also in the development of sex organs. For Jaz, she had to have multiple bottom surgeries because what they had to work with was not ideal for creating a neovag. Another random video I saw talks about a person that did come off puberty blockers because they had changed their mind on transing. Because puberty was delayed, they now have problems with their sex organs developing, basically stunted growth for their penis. These two examples I would think would be enough to say that there needs to be a standard for addressing trans youth without stunting them using puberty blockers.

No doctor, well no doctor in their right mind will even prescribe that crap until AFTER puberty and in some cases, a good talk with a therapist to make sure they truly understand what they're asking for is recommended. Maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part ... I don't care what's between your legs or if you identify as a fish, but allowing children to make such a huge and life changing decision is foolish no matter the angle. Gotta grow up first. Hell, you can't even fully process emotions typically until around 25.
