The stock market is controlled by private business not government. Biden sucks as a leader, but businesses are responsible for their decisions. Plus I'm confident all these shares will rise in price again in another decade. So take advantage of the lower share prices while one can right?

I think people in gov effect the market to a degree. Congress who own shares in things while sitting in on comittiees that control the laws and regulations of all the industries. Who choose if we are going to go in over our heads spending money we don't have, blowing up inflation. As for who sits as President, confidence in the market and the economy factor as well.

Meh. I put in like $50 ever so often, don't check it, don't worry about it. When the creators I follow stop mentioning it, then I'll be concerned lol.

People say during these down market times you should diversify and buy precious metals. So, I guess you get a safety deposit box and keep it somewhere safe? The thought of toting around bags of gold makes me giggle, sounds ridiculous but its been precious and sought after for a couple thousand years. And its a physical commodity, not FEELINGS about how well a business or industry is doing.

Well the thing about precious metals is, who tf do you sell it to? Honestly like i would buy gold but finding a legitimate site to buy from as well as a legitimate place to sell it thats what gets me. Also how will i know when is the right time to sell. It isnt like bitcoin where i can see it peak and then drop and know this is probably as high as i can sell atm.

Just adding that the value of Platinum over time is more stable than gold but apparently gold is still valued more. 1 gram of gold costs $59 USD while 1 gram of platinum costs $31 Odd. Platinum is still more rare than gold. So I would buy gold but I think I would buy a nice CHOWNK of platinum. Just look at the cost of jewelry. Platinum ALWAYS costs more.
