Sarcasm on the voting law subject. I did not read your original post.

@hell_hound7 I can agree on the people in the Middle East. Vast majority are people like the average American or average person of any other country. They don't really care what is going on halfway around the world, they are more concerned with the affairs of themselves and their families. There are videos of Afghan villagers talking to US troops. The US troops showed them pictures of 9/11 and the Twin Towers, they had no idea what it was and thought it was pictures of an attack in Kabul.

@dyadka_yar Oh I see (voting right bill)! But can't they vote to ratify the bill after passing it instead of fleeing the state during crucial voting time for legislation?
dyadka_yar
@solid_snake95 I don't think they have the numbers in order to do that. So what they are doing is not being present for the voting period in order to make the bill null and void since all have to be present to vote on the bill. If they aren't there then the vote can't happen and the period to vote on it expires. Meaning that the whole process has to start all over again.
solid_snake95
Ohh okay. Okay. I don't wanna say it's childish to flee the state when you know you cannot out vote republicans but how do they know all Republicans will vote for it? Some may be against it too.

@dyadka_yar honestly dating my muslim gf from malaysa as well as being in the middle east gave me alot of insight into that side of the world. I honestly didnt know there were people who feared Americans. Even people that thought Americans didnt like those who practice islam. When that couldnt be further from the truth. Alot of those people are normal but it can be pretty easy to just see the bad and associate everything with that. So a country isnt really as good at its people. If you have a culture that is good the people will go along with it. I guess in a way its sort of hand and hand. But idk.

@qwertyzbra I had to go back too. Sorry it was missed and it wasn't intentional. Sometimes a lot of things happen in this thread, sometimes multiple convos. Sorry to hear you had to go through that. I used to be a social worker and there are MANY things wrong with that system. But not all the foster parents I dealt with were bad, but yeah there definitely wasn't enough good ones. Re generations getting worse: “Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.”

"Correct me if im wrong arent some parks privately owned but open to the public? Like how you can be arrested for trespassing if you go after the hours listed? Loophole or....?" Or you don't what the difference between public land and private land. People can allow you into their private property. No different than your home or a bar. You can invite people into your home. But if you ask someone to leave your house. That person has to leave. A bar is private property open to the public. The bar can kick anyone off their private land. Just because it's open to the public. Does not make it public property. Sidewalk is public property. A bar and private park is not public property. Public property is owned by the state. Private property is owned by individuals or companies. It's really not that hard to comprehend. Come on now. If you make your home open to everyone. Does your home immediately become public property owned by the state? No, it does not. The house is still owned by you. The house doesn't belong to the state. You can allow and not allow anyone into your own private property. @Pandus

"which is NOW can be held by anyone... because its... public" Your conflating publicly owned stock with public property. Publicly owned stock is not the same as public property. Public doesn't mean what you think it means. Twitter is a publicly traded company with private investors. Twitter is not a nationalized company owned by the state. If it was owned by the state. Then twitter would indeed be public. Just as public as a public sidewalk, public streets, public schools etc. What your your stating is that twitter is public as a public sidewalk. Which is factually untrue. A public sidewalk is, I'll repeat it again. Public property is owned by the state. A publicly traded company is not the same as a public state owned public sidewalk. Two very different meaning for the word public. A publicly traded stock is not public property like a sidewalk. @taiyou
