Solar panels for example we move to solar energy but get them from china who is using fossil fuels to make them.

I feel like the US also needs to start pouring money into these developing countries and building them up in order to compete with china. Maybe team up with other nations. But then we run into the issue of china owning harbors for trade routes.

solar panels arent that good of idea for renewable energy i still stand by nuclear as the best clean energy source
hell_hound7
@momoichi probably not gonna happen, under this administration anyway.

Solar panels and wind energy is the current future for us apparently

lol trumps administration was the same, and same with Obama and bush before him its not an administration issue really, we need public opinion to change from the stigma of Chernobyl the issues that iv seen (i could be wrong) are that wind and solar are both dependant on weather, which can be iffy i believe that wind mills are better than solar panels, but they take up a lot of land, so its kind of counter reproductive to the green issue

I would consider solar and wind energy to be supplemental energy sources. It is good to have them, but their output and reliability are questionable. Nuclear is the only conceivable source I could think of to go in terms of widespread "clean energy". @hell_hound7 The USA will likely build up IN and MX to act as their new manufacturing base if the USA decides to move away from the PRC, which it probably will. Even the PRC is starting to move away from manufacturing to some degree, which is why they are building up the African continent. Studying economics was never really in my interest, so perhaps some of the more economically enlightened people can discuss that. Perhaps the government could subsidize the move away from the PRC through things like freer trade between nations considered "allies", or impose more restrictions or taxes on companies that decide to have it's manufacturing based in the PRC. I vaguely recall some proposal for companies that deal with the CCP be subject to potential seizure of assets in the event of increased hostilities, which would be considered an extreme answer. At this point, we can only "shoot the shit" and spin ideas. o7
