@mountain_tiger not ignoring taiwan, just not sure what there was to respond to. if they have good gun legislature, what am i going to rebut against? i want gun laws. i assumed you brought that up because you assumed i wanted a gun ban and was showing how you can have laws and guns. i'll respond to the rest tomorrow if you wanna keep the discussion going

@momoichi I largely don't see a point to you continuing the discussion., as I feel I am just repeating myself at this point. It's up to you, but don't complain if I end up repeating myself again. I might even copy and paste my old posts to see if you notice. ( ͡• ͜ʖ ͡• ) In regards to Taiwan, my first post explained their gun laws, which I think would be a good enough compromise for someone of your attitude because it meets the idea that only responsible people should have right to access arms, but it also allows the freedom of owning them. The idea in bringing them up is because I think your actual suggestions simply aren't good compared to the Taiwanese model. ╮（╯＿╰）╭

What I find funny is how academics and media avoid calling out African countries' opposition to scientific methods. Tanzania's president dismissed COVID, recommended "natural treatments" and literally made COVID-19 casualties being labeled as pneumonia. But try to do that in Liberal Arts/Social Studies universities... you become a brand new crypto-racist, being dismissive of African culture or even elitist by indirectly saying European culture is superior (which isn't a lie).

Ha. Rondônia's former governor and later senator literally recommended electric solder against COVID-19. Brazilian politicians are like a poorly made tangle of Jim Carey's characters, except exponentially stupider. But there is the thing. Brazilians love magical, seemingly painless solutions rather than painful ones. No wonder a lot of them bought the idea that azithromycin, hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin are plausible choices for precocius treatment against COVID-19. Even worse, they think COVID-19 has precocious treatment.

@momoichi ok so he wants to ban assault weapons. In his press conference he didnt even know what gun the shooter used. Red flag 1, even if you ban "assault weapons" nothing stops anyone from using handguns which are easier to conceal and use. Thats red flag 2. If he bans all guns then he will literally piss alot of people off because now they are going against the amendments thats red flag 3
