Attack on Titan Finale Season

Yeah Eren and his capabilities were trash from season 1-3 but at least he wasn't as narcissistic and intolerable as Gabi, Eren was more stupid and vengeful he even tried to distance himself from mikasa and armin but as Reiner said those two idiots would follow him to the ends of the Earth

See, I understand Gabi is supposed to be a sort of mirror to Eren, but it just doesn't work out in my head when I compare the two. Eren was just a curious child that wanted to explore the outside world despite society telling him to just stick to the walls and nothing more. He became enraged because his childhood was stolen away from him by the titans, which put him on the path of vengeance. Gabi however is glad to fight and kill the enemies of her nation. She is aware of the armor titan's mission and wants to inherit it to kill "the devils". Marley has been continually assaulting Paradis Island for decades, while Paradis Island has been trying to maintain it's pacifist-isolationist stance. She has had her mind set to fight Paradis like she does the eastern coalition. Even if she was brainwashed by Marley to believe Paradis is her enemy, she is still wanted to do it on her own pride. The other warriors are pretty much trying to help their own families, while Gabi is doing it out of personal reasons. The declaration of war, which she attended and supported, of course was ruined by Eren. This only cements her hatred for Paradis and it's "devils", it did not create it. Of course she later has a change of heart, but their conditions lend me to be more favorable to Eren. Eren had a problem of being a loud kid and a short temper, but his intent is always to "do something" to help even if he's foolhardy. Gabi is similar, like when she tries to board the airship recklessly and gets her and Falco's shit kicked in. There are similarities in how they both act, but my sympathies lie closer to Eren. o7

I just don't like Gabi she irritates me Eren isn't that good of a character but that seems mostly due to his hot headedness but it seems like he is no longer hot headed which makes me like him now

I get why people don't like the old Eren, but I think it was a good idea to make him that way when he was younger. I like that the characters "grow up" by the last season. It's interesting to see how these people transformed and what led to it. How do people react when the loud kid suddenly becomes the quiet kid?

doing heroic deeds says alot of personality Eren never gave a fuck. Back than as kid and now even less. He is a monster and he always was. Even Gabi is brainwashed she is more caring. Her actions is to safe others not like Erens.

Haha weakness disgusts me i'm so stressed I don't even feel it anymore therefore I cannot be stopped but saying Eren isn't heroic is being way too ignorant of his actions and from what i've seen Gabi cares more about glory rather than saving lives she saved the 800 soldiers but it was only because she wanted to prove herself to be the armored titan

Motives matter like when Eren did his heroic actions his motives were revenge like plugging up the first wall with the boulder, overworking himself until he mastered the hardening technique, managing to help push back Reiner and successfully capturing bertholt, and there's actually one thing that he did that was selfless which was when he sacrificed himself in order to save armin because he had no clue he would become a titan

I agree, people downplay Eren's achievements just because he was a foolhardy idiot. Don't forget he also saved Mikasa from slavers, tried to save his mom after his house got destroyed, and he was willing to give his life to protect Mikasa from the titan that ate his mom despite not having the stamina to transform again. Eren cares about his friends, even with inheriting the Attack Titan he is told it is the only way to save Armin and Mikasa. If Gabi saved the lives of hundreds of soldiers, what about the potential thousands of civilian and military lives Eren saved by plugging the wall? We only see Eren as a monster now because of manga spoilers, but even in the manga it demonstrates he is not doing his actions totally out of hatred and is reluctant and remorseful of what he has done. Gabi is revealed to have a similar change of thought. I think Gabi is supposed to represent the end of the war cycle between Eldians and the world. o7

Ok i think gabi is everything eren isnt. She has the brains and the skill. Willing to risk herself for a greater cause. Eren was just hot headed and relied on everyone to help him. This recent episode was pretty good tho ngl
