Baccano!'s first 5 episodes are a deal breaker for many. The structure of the narrative weighs heavily from different character's perspectives telling a much larger story. However the majority will prefer Durarara!! comparatively for being much more straight forward. That said, I think Durarara!! struck out with season 2's ending. Shinra did not need to do what he does to Celty and much of season 2 undid everything established in the first making every character except Izaya look terrible!

I saw the entire season of Baccano. IDK if there's a second season. After finishing it. Even if there was a second season. I wouldn't watch it. I was "yeah it's ok." Nothing really caught me off guard or was really different for me to like it more.
