Democrats do not have a majority in the senate. Even assuming the best case scenario for the Democrats. Democratic conservative senator Joe Machin will side with the Republicans on progressive issues. Thus not passing much legislation through the senate. The president is not a king, where he can just willy nilly pass whatever law he wants. The laws are written up by congress then signed off by the president. Democrats do not have control of the senate. Republican's have more balls then Democrats. Remember that Republicans blocked Obama's supreme court Justice pick for almost a year. Republicans will just about block everything that Biden tries to propose. Thus Biden won't get much done. As far as you stating that Democrats being majorly corrupt. That is your own opinion. Both Republicans and Democrats take campaign contributions. If you want to make the statement which party is more corrupt. It is best to look up which party takes more campaign finance contributions. Then on the other side of the coin is ilegal corruption. Where an individual gives money directly to a congressman for political favors. One would have to look up which party been convicted more for ilegal corruption. If you don't reason your way through it. You otherwise get into feelings on which party is more corrupt based off your biased political thoughts. Why is Trump firing so many people? Didn't Trump say that he would assemble the best people to run the country? If Trump is constantly firing people. It means that he didn't assemble the best people. Trump often fires people for not being loyal to him. Call me crazy. But aren't federal employees supposed to be loyal to the constitution and not to the President? A lot of these states are legally required to recount if votes fall within a certain margin. Trump gets the states to recount. OK? But a lot of these states are required to recount by law. Even with the recounts. If you search up past recounts for previous elections. Recounts often switch a few hundred votes. Decimal of percentages. Trump is not going to win states with a some hundreds of votes switching to his favor. The recounts in some states might end up favoring Biden. Where Biden wins a a few hundred more votes. @alephy sounds like political horseshoe theory in a way. It's more in regards to the extremists on both sides are more alike than the centrists or moderates, but both sides have political biases, both sides have extremely toxic people, ergo shits fucked up.

also i skimmed what aleph said and yeah hes mostly correct, i do find the republican party to be more corrupt, but corruption is in both parties ofcourse my main issue with republicans is just what they stand for as a political party feels antithetical to any actual progress and only leads to our countries regression
