Convince me that One piece is good

Is one pirce really good? like full metal aclhemist brotherhood good? there's so many episodes. It didn't interest me when it first came out.

I believe anyone that likes action/adventure would love One Piece, but the issue is getting past three things: 1. Shitload of episodes 2. Shit artwork at the beginning 3. Luffy's stretching power seems lame af For yearsssssssssssss I ignored One Piece for those reasons. If someone had told me to watch One Piece, I would have proceeded to call them uncultured swine, then tell them their waifu is shit just for good measure. I still remember not really being sold on it after a dozen episodes, but thinking to myself "meh it's no so bad, I'll just keep watching." Then somewhere around episode 30 during the Arlong Arc, that's when it finally hit me... when Nami is so distraught and emotionally destroyed by what the villain of the Arlong Arc did to her and her friends, that she tried to cut off the tattoo that Arlong put on her shoulder. i havent gotten that far in one piece but wasn't a big issue fans had was the lack of character development and relatablity of luffy? that he was just genki and silly and always confident and even when he's sad he gets over it and never actually grows from that pain? could be way off the mark, just something iv heard said

Without going into spoilers, just based on what you're saying, I'd say it's way off the mark. I haven't paid much attention to what long time fans have been saying, but I'd guess it deals more with the fact that it's just feels like it's dragging out too long at this point. I'm as diehard of a fan as you'll find, and I started getting a little tired of it over 100 episodes ago.
