1.6k is not normal for an apartment though. Idk if you got the entirety of US confused with California but most apartments go for half of that. And this doesnt include car expenses and insurance, and utilities.

Ehhhhh Oklahoma was the lowest cost of living for a while and minimum rent when I left was $800. Its getting up there everywhere.

Here in NC i can find a 2 bedroom for $600. Cheapest i have ever seen but yeah.

1600 is a lot for an apartment don't pay attention to prices in Cali, Cali is broken

What i am seeing is multiple households living together in one larger home because rent costs, home availability... a number of things really. Arc and I have been looking at houses for over a year and everytime we like one its snagged in a matter of days. Then we do the should we or shouldn't we dance.

Not sure if reply worked... but my house is only 3 bedroom, 1 and a half bath, living room, dining room, little kitchen, and a seperate laundry room off of the main house... costs is around 800 to 900 a month (depending on power bill)

Yeah really cali is the only placerunning for 2-3000 a month. Thats why so many are homeless there

As someone paying 350$ for a nice apartment with a parking space... I guess I really just can't relate to you, guys. I live in Germany. Getting to the next big city takes 10 minutes by train (+5 by bike). This whole thread just made me appreciate my position this much more.

Yeah my teacher showed us a documentary about how the people in New York involved in trade and stuff fucked up the prices in Cali
