the best thing I did last week was invest in teladoc a couple of days ago. I'm 56% down since investing in Robinhood IPO. Screw me, right? lol

im surprised anyone invested in robinhood during IPO given the GME debacle. Im curious to hear the reasoning behind that one.

I just put some cash in the IPO because I use Robinhood. I don't have a huge amount of money in it but damn, that stock is going straight to 0. Today is making me think this is the first recession that I'd ever have to trade in.

I'm sure you guys said what companies you're using to make these stock purchases, but to someone ignorant to day trading, what would you recommend? Robinhood got called out for misleading its users into poor investments on purpose to collect fees off the backend. Are companies like Vanguard or Fidelity reliable to use to enter the market? I see Fidelity offering partial shares outside of 401. @arc @reisenpai66

@arc Yea, theres definitely talk of a recession but also i think the markets are down now because of various other catalysts like inflation and omicron.. specifically omicron.. I still have faith that tesla will carry me out of this mess lmao.. @gabriel_true Robinhood is shady, weebull i havent heard much on but its shilled, vangaurd i havent heard bad things about.. i use TDAmeritrade and i like it, but it doesnt have fractional shares like some of the others. That doesnt bother me though.

I'll look into Ameritrade as I know the name. Like I said Fidelity has offered some options, but I don't how to go about it.

I know Robinhood got smacked for that GameStop fiasco, but I still think it has by far the friendliest user interface to learn stock trading. I use Robinhood and TD. In Robinhood you can buy a fractional share of tesla if you cant afford a whole share. I reccomend TD as well if you are interested in opening up an IRA or ROTH
