1248. Knowing this, we assumed this link had something to do with his descendants so we proceeded to place some countermeasures. First, the French were supposed to keep the snail population in control by normalizing their consumption (why else would people eat them lol). Second, we established a series of tests in order to wipe out the potential link in a less genocidal fashion. https://i.imgur.com/4VXaQo2.png Unfortunately, none of this seems to have worked and instead we have some really pissed off snails coordinating massive attacks across the globe after Thiccamus successfully reestablished the link.
