Coronavirus. Your thoughts? [Serious and Non-Serious]

I still see people out and about in the city not wearing masks, and we are right in the middle of the highest spike of cases. Some people can live in fear and terror for only so long before they give up and go out, pretending everything is fine as soon as the government says it's okay to do so. Those people are the sheep that die first during a crisis. Don't be one of them! Use protection! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Honestly unless a cure comes out i say that the spike is just inevitable. This has been going on since feb and we are rolling into july. This is way too long to have life at a stand still. The minute quarantine was lifted the US exploded in chaos. I guess thats what happens when people who normally are free to do as they please are now told they cant. The virus will run its course whether we want it or not i mean china wad getting more cases despite their "perfect handling of the virus" and other places are still in quarantine and its done nothing to help.

I'm a little worried, public transportation is soon resumed and the number of cases spiked in provinces, I really hope the vaccnines come. I miss going outside, I wish I could go to cons with friends, it's been a while

The reason for the spike was because of Memorial Day partiers that completely disregarded all precautions and social distancing. It's a 1-2 week incubation period, and that's exactly when the spike started happening. People thought because it was summer, it would magically go away. They quit wearing masks. Quit washing their hands, and using hand sanitizer. You still gotta be careful. I was shocked how many restaurants don't have any hand sanitizer available for customers despite allowing them to come in and sit down. That's probably the 1 thing that should have been mandatory for them to reopen, after making it mandatory for employees to wear masks. There's a lot of places where the employees don't. We're still in the middle of a pandemic. Where people's common sense gone.
