What is it like being a girl on MO?

@teacup, oh man... I knew things were hectic as I remember before... But man, don't worry about it you're not a shitty friend at all. Your health is more important! Take care of yourself! And yeah, there are a lot of guys who are like that. They tend to lose sight of what is truly important which is friendship. You can't force someone to like you. It has to happen naturally for both individuals and there's a lot of guys who don't understand that. So they expect to befriend someone they're interested in hoping to seek something more, or there's even some immature guys who will unfriend someone because they don't get what they want. It's pretty sad unfortunately but things like that happen. >_>

It is kind of sad that the mental state you have to have when making friends is to overly vet them to make sure they don't see it as romantic interest. Actually, I once saw someone post something along the lines of "the average man is so starved for emotional attention that a simple hello can often be enough to pipe their interest". That hits fairly close to home in these situations.
