( Zombie Apocalypse) Five things you'd take!!~

@dyad what do you do when you run out of bullets, tablets, and rations? all of those things will be worth gold in the apocalypse my plan is to fuck off to the forest to and live off the wild life. my doggo companion will silently tell me if there is a zombie or hooman near by as well as help me track wildlife for hunting and guarding me as i sleep, which will allow me to get a rested sleep (something that will be nearly impossible in the apocalypse because you will always need to be on edge) i change my gauze to a book on wild herbs and mushrooms, that way i can get food and medical supplies. ill live off the land and create my own arrows for hunting, as the woods will be secluded, i doubt ill come across any humans or zombies, but if i do i will know the land well enough that i can snipe them easily. not to mention my dog will use his sniffer to alert me ahead of time of any humans or zombies. the pot will be for boiling water for purification as well as making herbal teas (soothes the nerves) and medication if needs be, making the fire using my stones. shelter will be a cabin i find, after killing the inhabitants by using my doggo as a distraction. when im bored i can just enjoy the peaceful wilderness, or read the plant book, or drink some home brewed tea. camping bug out is OP bug out

@ Lamby Simple, these are items I would use to acquire more things to survive. Meaning I take what I need/want from households and businesses. The MREs and water tablets are for when I have to go out from my base of operations for days. During the initial outbreak I would have taken large stocks of water and food from stores and homes on top of what I already had along with collecting rainwater and uncontaminated streams. Water tablets would be for when I need water and I find myself in the swamplands of Eastern NH. I have to admit I hoarded MREs and Water Tablets as a precaution since severe power outages are common in my area. Bought myself a 6-month supply of MREs and enough water tablets for a good 500 gallons of water. There was a sale and normally I would buy way less, but they last 25+ years so I figured "screw it". Ammunition would not be an issue since I live in NH and there are more guns than people. In all reality the main issue is location for people as far a zombie outbreak goes. A metropolitan area like NYC or something like that would be a disaster to try to survive in and the items needed would vary from location to location.

Incidentally the American CDC has a full list of materials they recommend if the dead start to rise.
