Chiquita definitely belongs on this list for sure. I also like Valmet. Thanks Koroshiya! (>=3) As for Ookamil, Charlotte is acceptable even though she be a bloody damn ELF traitor *cough* In regards to Miko...not a personal fan. However, if she inspires motivation or role model like characteristics in you then I will accept. I just couldn't get into No Game No Life's characters.

Interesting... the whole 'Not your waifu' thing makes this a bit harder. So I'll just put a list and let you decide. 1.) Erza scarlett, because any list of strong women isn't complete without the queen of the faires. 2.) major motoko kusanagi, a bad ass among badass personified. 3.) Most studio ghibli female characters. 4.) Mikasa from attack on titan, though I feel this falls into waifu territory a little. 5.) Kei and yuri from dirty pair, because from what I can remember, there two of the first female lead characters and they were fairly badass. I could keep going but I think I've overstayed my welcome.

Kusanagi and Mikasa unfortunately fall into the waifu realm in my opinion. Both are strong characters, however I feel they are mostly loved for the sex appeal rather than motivation or ideas. Like...I really want to put Motoko on here but...I know myself too well.

Plus she has great chemistry with her cyborg partner Briareos. She is able to adapt to changing environments on the fly while communicating effectively to her team. Alone she kicks butt and with Briareos' support she takes down entire armies! She is caring, generous, charismatic, self inspired, forward thinking, martial trained, disciplined, and able to cut loose when afforded the opportunity! She most certainly doesn't sit on her hands when important matters are at stake. People's lives being one of them whether they be machine or human!
