In the english dub of parasyte where the main character Shinichi witnesses the death of Reiko sacrificing herself for her half blood child, and Shinichi has flashbacks of his own mother. This causes him to cry without showing emotion at first until he says, "Mom" then breaks down in front of the police in public crying his heart out after being cold throughout multiple episodes. This made me bawl my eyes out so bad, because of my attachment to my mom as well. So I get his pain all too well.
