What was your first Anime?

darkness_anger
Vampire Knight when i was about 7. I happened to not be able to sleep one night and caught it on TV and started making excuses so I can watch it daily (except weekend apparently).

I'm probably one of the most atypical MO members here. When I was 4 or 5 around 1989-1990, I first saw these on Nickelodeon/Nick Jr., but back then, no one knew they were anime nor even the "anime" term and called them cartoons. https://youtu.be/006lwHP3PDQ https://youtu.be/WIU1DuNYHYI https://youtu.be/ANG4VzBuoZA https://youtu.be/guBUlVehjRs https://youtu.be/Nhd_queT38o For movies, Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. https://youtu.be/fhOPfHwF3og

@meisterman1985 Holy crap. The Littl Bits, I actually remember that one. The rest I did not see. I can remember memories of Littl Bits being in the same block as David the Gnome. Well, I think Littl Bits might be my first anime. A few years later was small exposure to Sailor Moon which I thought was my first anime until you brought that up.

@dyadka_yar The Littl' Bits was also my first Tatsunoko Productions anime before I even knew others that were more prominent. From the classic Speed Racer to the Christian-related one The Flying House. But I first learned about Speed Racer from the American cartoon remake in the early 90s. The Adventures of The Little Prince was done by the same person that created a year later the Mobile Suit Gundam anime. The Noozles, Adventures of Little Koala and Fist of The North Star show how much Japan loves Australia.
