Anyone Have Dating site Suggestions?

If you're okay with long distance I guess a site like this could work, though I think most users on here use this more like a forum or hangout than an actual dating site. Personally I prefer going to places where there's a good chance that I could meet someone with similar interest as me irl such as comic book/game stores, local anime fan/gamer meet ups, cons, Japanese markets etc. Keep in mind that my primary motivation for going there is to have fun, not necessarily to find love but there's a good chance that I will walk away with a couple of phone numbers by doing that.

@Sad Otaku, don't settle. That shows you don't respect yourself enough to get what you deserve, man. Couples who settle often aren't very happy, like the couple at a restaurant where the woman is messing around on the phone and the guy is reading a news paper or something, there's no interaction or romance going on there. It's hollow, don't settle.

Commonly girls just like to be talked to like normal people. Have a normal conversation with them. Get to know them slowly. Most of my romances that have worked for long periods of time was because I was friends with them first. The one thing I absolutely hate as a female is people coming into my inbox being all sexual right away. (Besides the fact I have a wonderful s/o even if they are ok if I have more than one partner). Normal conversations work best. Ask them how they are feeling and talk about interests. (Yay for long notes)

I had some luck on OKcupid but I had to use a third party firefox addons to make it work. Basically had it pop up a notification and highlight words on the website. So whenever someone had anime, manga, cosplay, etc in there profile it lit up for me. Help me shift through that haystack for the needles a bit easier :P. Makes you think how groundbreaking a dating site would be if they would emphasized profiles over pictures. Though as many other stated. Getting out there and just having conversations with people without the intention of courting them works wonders. People can sort of feel out when you have an ulterior motive when talking with them. So just relaxing and having fun and conversing with someone without thinking of them as a potential smooch goes a long way.

If you have a phone just get Tinder, dude. I'm old and ugly af and still get matches from people 18 - 36 because my bio isn't complete shit and my photos are a mix of funny and sad. Also, I gave up on standards after I gave up on myself lmao, so that helps xd Remember, it's just a numbers game. The more sites/apps you use for meeting people the more likely you are to meet someone you actually like/find attractive/click with. I also second josh with OKC. I got that when I was but a babe and hooked up with some girls I never thought I'd see again. Worth a shot... bc numbers game. ~~Cthulhu fhtagn!~~
