Decluttering and keeping much empty space in your home

Some ideas I can share are keeping as few of the most important things with you while selling/auctioning, donating/gifting and trashing/burning others. For inventory you keep, using organizing methods such as labeled boxes should help. Any other tips and tricks?

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. I come from a family of horders that aren’t particularly sanitary, and that’s one thing my rebellious attitude served me well to oppose as I’ve gotten older. At the end of the day, if a possession isn’t of sentimental value, monetary value, or some utility, it’s better to discard it in whatever way is most efficient or most profitable. I think the key is doing a little bit of cleaning every single day as opposed to letting things build up until the point where you have so much shit in your house or it’s so filthy that it feels like an insurmountable task to get it all straightened out. Wash the dishes and only keep as many as your need, wash the clothes and take the ones you don’t wear to good will, organize books/games/random possessions you need and get rid of anything you don’t. Clean up the trash or clothes laying around before they pile up. The act of spending 15 minutes a day doing that has always been a great spring board for doing other things that are productive and it’s certainly helped me get into other routines.

I'm trying to declutter since I'm moving in a couple of weeks. But I'm having a really hard time deciding what's important enough to keep vs trashing... Sentimental value is at war with necessity and practicality. -_-

I personally don't have much of anything. Everything I own can fit in a room; still wanna get rid of more things as time passes.
