CD Emulator, Help Please :'(

foolish_otaku
I've been trying to play a very old PC game, Rugrats Adventure. But I can't seem to find a CD Emulator, and/or set it up properly. I can explain more, but for now, I just want to see if I can get any help on this.

Not sure, but you could take a look at this reddit link https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroWindowsGaming/comments/8v8m7u/how_to_play_rugrats_adventure_game_on_a_modern/

PCem? Sounds interesting, I'll have to do more research on this. Thank you very much for the link.

You're welcome holmes. I hope it helps. I'm currently playing Pokemon FireRed on an emulator as well... along w/ a Fire Emblem game on Dolphin. Emulators are GREAT!

If you have windows 10, you can create a drive yourself. Simply right click on the file in question and click mount or mount image. Then it should treat the file as being in a disc drive.

@Neverland: I know, right? I'm loving my PS1 and PS2 emulators :D Dolphin was xBox, right? I honestly forget. @Onizuka: I do have windows 10 and I can? Even if it's and old game like Lego Rock Raiders (PC) or Bill Nye the Science guy in Stop the Rock (PC)?

In that case it depends. If its default Windows 10 compatible, or if comparability mode setting work, then it should work just fine. My new PC does not have a disk drive, so that is how I am playing my old disk based games. Now if it is old enough that Win10 wont recognize it (like several DOS games), then you will need to download an OS emulator of sorts. Also, Dolphin is the Wii emulator I believe.

Where can I find an OS Emulator? I would rather get an appropriate one and not one of those fakes that turns out to be a virus :"( Oh, oops. Wait, the Wii is old enough to have an emulator?

I would try mounting the disk file first as I suggested above, just to see if it works, because that is the easiest and fastest way. As far as emulating older versions of Windows, I am not sure, never had to do it before. Dos is easy, and you just need DosBox. Apparently the Wiis architecture was relatively simple to work with. That emulator started as a Gamecube emulator and was successful in running Wii software in 2009, just 3 years after the Wiis launch.
