You do care about what others think about you!

It's due to the fact that you're, in fact, HUMAN! :) Did you know that how you value yourself, is a depiction of how others value you? Or is at least a depiction of how you expect others to value you? "But I'm a depressed 23 year old living in my moms basement not attending uni anymore, how could that be a dep... oh." that's right. I'm right!!! muahahahah. I've probably also just summed up all of us in just dorks in one sentence, unfortunately. Luckily, there is an antidote. It's called CONFIDENCE! Although, confidence can easily be torn down if you are fragile. Some people are very strong so their confidence won't be torn down as fast. But you'll still care about what others say, and if enough people say bad things about you, you'll still care. Don't @ me saying "I don't care about what people say about me" because it's just untrue! If I told you you were ugly, you might not directly take it to heart or be completely offended by it, but you'll still have seen the comment and (sub)consciously administered it.

As a kid i didnt give a crap about what anyone thinks of me, i grew older into my teenage years, very conscience of it because of my physical problem i had and being hard of hearing, having to wear hearing aids, my Mom always told me "who gives a shit what other people think of you." most people judge on the outward appearances, and its pretty dangerous, i never judged anyone, weather they are skinny, fat, tall, short, colored, whoever they may be, there's someone out there that needs to be cared for and to let them know that they are worth something, kinda like taking someone who think they are nothing, can turn them into something amazing, others who can just destroy them from the inside and turn them into nothing. Anyways. i guess its just having strong mentality.

as a kid half of your brain isn't developed yet. but you're right

I care more about how sophisticated, smart, and critical people I have actually interacted with think about me than how strangers,especially emotionally unstable ones whom I have never communicated with think about me. Human beings are complicated.
