I asked this question in the discord yesterday and thought I should ask it here Would you rather trade one of your current arms for a robotic arm or keep your current arms. Rules: The robotic arm is equivalent to your current arm in capablity, senses, and strength. The robotic arm’s look is entirely up to you but it will never 100% look like a real arm You’re allowed to modify the robotic arm after it’s installed

F**k human arms! Why does my body need to be chained down by these lanky meat chains! When I can upgrade for the better. I can't stand these clumsy arthritis riddled hands. A huge waste of body nutrition to give, just for some dumb sub par grabbing experience. Sure you say the feelings of a human arm can be replicated, but if you ask me I'll rip that feature off without a second thought. I wouldn't want my robot arms to be subdued by such torture. The feeling of hand pain is such a hassle. I wanna shove my arms in the goddamn pizza oven so I can save that stupid calzone form exploding on us in the pizzeria. That scenario happens more times then you can actually possibly imagine. Dude, you know how gross it is when a centipede crawls on your arm. Why would I want to reenact those nasty feelings that I will never wished upon to even my greatest enemies. Slimy pulsating body that slithers and crawls with it's awful needle like legs. Navigating its mucus like antenna around your arm hair, as well as other arm details. Giving you its ravenous maw, causing inflammation to consume the body. Whilst my arms nicely succumb to the cold numb comfort. I may not ask my arms to be restrained to the disgusting human design. We humans have foolish believed that our "Neanderthal" four fingers, and a thumb is nature's the ultimate design. I know in my heart we can do better, have you seen the grips on a simple gecko! It be foolish to limit those boundaries. So if I could I'll go -100%. My modifications be unreal, but effective. Sure, I wouldn't be able to hold the people I love. They will most definitely change their mind when I can work efficiently. Look I know you said in the limits of human arms with minor modifications, but can you really blame me? I just can't stand these prosthetic scientist hacks, and robotic engineers to continue to shape something potentially great … into the stupid human form. I rather like my arms. So I don't see myself trading in for one. If I ever lost one in an accident however, then yeah, robo the shit out of that prosthetic limb. I'll take everything that it entails, (including the lasers and grenade launchers).

Love your enthusiasm @bashful_hubris. You and me both; ditching these limbs for a infinitely upgradable one. I don’t think I’d stop playing with myself....I mean tweaking and modifying my robotic arm.
