Hey there. As my username probably gives away, my name is Tj and I’ve just joined. I realize this seems to be a dating site for weebs, but I was looking for an active forum for anime nuts like myself. So, I’m here for friends if you’ll have me. I’m 25 and from the Midwest. I just started attending university, which is a strange thing because I feel like I’m way behind everyone else in terms of age but so many of my classmates are much older. Education is for everyone yay \o/ I like to draw, play video games, watch anime (andkoreandramasdontjudge). I have been an avid anime viewer since forever, but didn’t get into anime until I was maybe 10 or so. Favorite series is code geass. Not really sure what to put for an introduction. Most other people are just like “hi I’m here” and all the replies just say “welcome”. I want some conversation y’all. How’s everyone’s 2019 going thus far? That’s it for my lame introduction. Sup holmes, welcome to the site. Not everyone here will just say "hello" and "welcome". As the unwelcome welcomer, I will like to fill you in on a few things as well as reply to your welcome. First off, I'd like to welcome you again b/c you're a Midwesterner and a fellow older college bud. It's nice to meet another fellow of the same background. I find that many of my fellows who are older college students tend to be veterans and they make some awesome pals. It's also great to meet another guy near my age who likes korean dramas. I have not met many dudes who are into it. I only watch a few myself and "Goblin" has been on my list for a while now. Also Code Geass is a sweet show, it reminded me a lot of Death Note. Now onto more pressing matters. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would recommend you to try and stick it out for a week on this site, but usually people who make an account here leave within the first week. It seems to be a trial period, so I'll be amazed if you survive that long and keep coming. I will consider you an active member if you survive the first week of the "hunger games". B/c you'll be hungry for friends and the like, but 70% of the populace will ignore your pleas for friends, unless you are more active in trying to make friends. Also, there is a 95% male to 5% female ratio, so it is highly unlikely that you'll find a significant other, unless you do not have a gender preference or prefer the same gender. On another note, there are plenty of catfishes, trolls, creepers and other such characters on this site, as is usual on most web forums, so I hope you aren't too disappointed when you start encountering your own share of these characters. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Random Vent: So I actually had like 2 pages worth of stuff to say, but then I was trying to get treez_'s profile page link to put onto this welcome tirade and it sent me to his page, but when I returned, the page was refreshed and all my "dastardly" warnings and what-not got deleted T.T (Back to pressing matters) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most of the active members are in the "Last post here wins" thread, but it can sometimes get weird in there and sometimes all you see in there are lewd pictures. Man honestly, there are some very lewd people on this site. Also most of the active members are kind of hyper and seem cutesy and the like a lot. There are some more mature peeps around, I've noticed who will talk normal w/ you. Ummm, but yea, I'd probs. beware most of the active male members or just all of them b/c they usually want nothing to do w/ you b/c they just want that p***y. It's a thirsty site. But still if you really want some guy buds it's worth a try. I'd probably hit up more of the newer dudes, since they seem more chill than the active dudes. Anyhow my mind wanders a lot and I type to people a lot, which usually scares them lol. @Neverland - Hello, wall of text. Whereabouts are you in the Midwest? Are you frozen too? What are you studying in university? I've yet to finish Goblin. Drama Fever went down before I finished and it's not available anywhere else. Such is life. Thank-you for all the warnings. Now, nothing is likely to surprise me. ;) I'll look into this Treez person. My thoughts o the new Code Geass seem to evolve over time. When it was originally announced I was ecstatic. I didn't care how they brought Lelouch back, I was just excited for more Geass. Akito didn't quite do it for me in terms of more content. Then they announced it wouldn't be as series, but a single movie. That disappointed me, but still I figured a short story was better than nothing and was still quite excited. Then the other day that first look or sneak peak came out with the first few minutes of the film? I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT FOR MYSELF. It looks fantastic. ;_; I love that they're showing us how not only the world is some years after the ending of the anime, but what so many of the characters are doing now. I am on hype overload. I wish I spoke Japanese and lived in Japan right now. What are your thoughts?

@Sir_Jet - I've never been to a con, sadly. Always been interested, but I don't have friends and I'd feel weird going alone? @_@ Which one did you just get back from? And how was it?

It was Animangapop. Honestly it was just a small local con but i still enjoyed it. Don't worry too much about going solo though. If you wanna go to one, just go ahead.
