Dating members of the opposite race

that sounds interesting, but i think there are enough people with enough mix ethnic background to prove that wrong xD (those people that are like 'well actually im 1% african')

I don't think race should figure into your dating preference. I can see it being like "I think members of <x race> are more attractive than <y race>" but saying "I won't date member of <z race>" is just kind of narrowminded. I agree with Makoto, anonymous dating websites are great for this reason since it gives you a chance to learn about someone's character first. Get to know the person, maybe even grow romantic feelings for the person. When it comes time for the physical appearance, it shouldn't matter what race they are at that point.

Nishmo it isn’t narrow minded to have preferences. Not everyone can innately be attracted to everyone just from personality and to a degree there should be some form of attraction you hold in the other person for a lot of other ppl, in the sense of dating, it’s just “dating”. Let ppl fuck whoever they want imo hook ups, “dating”, what ever else. If your gonna spend a longtime with someone it should be a balance of them being a good person with what ever looks you desire

There are some things that some ppl feel automatically attracted to from maybe genetics as well as their environment in combination with each other with out having to name it.

Preferring one race over another in terms of dating preference is not narrowminded, but refusing to date someone of a certain ethnicity is. I will stand by that statement until I die.

Then what about ppl who have tried dating and sex with various types of ppl and then they just don’t date a certain race after that not cause of loss of attraction and have found out what their preferences are then. Lol

I mean yeah appearance matters but at the end of the day why do we date people? Is it just to have a pretty face around? Of course not it's so much deeper than that, you want someone who will be there for you emotionally and support you in all you do, and you should want to do the same for them. What makes me fall for people is kind nature and a pure heart, having a sense of humor helps too. Another thing I have found is that once you fall in love with someone you naturally think they are the most beautiful/handsome person you've ever seen. That's why I stand by character over appearance, cause the admiration for beauty comes after the love.

Like imagine a white guy who has dated and hooked up with a large majority of white women but then just could find not attraction or long term value so he doesn’t date white women any more. Then ends up dating 3 or 4 other races and now will only date let’s say Hispanic women and will now completely just not date other white women with in the area that he lives in. He’s not encroaching on anyones rights and neither is he thinking about this in such nuance, they’re just changing who they date. Yes you could say some ppl have some in-depth dating thoughts about them selves as an individual but that isn’t most ppl. Tbh on this site or the internet in general specifically there’s ppl who will go for anything XD if it breathes

Agreed. You can just end up not dating someone of a certain race, but if you meet someone that is literally the perfect person for you but they're of a race you apparently aren't attracted to and you decide to reject them based solely on that reasoning, it is narrowminded regardless. You can prefer one race over another in terms of appearance, but if you write off a race regardless of how good their character is or how perfect they otherwise are for you, it is narrowminded. Appearance matters, it does. I don't act like it doesn't. Hygiene, health, etc. All of this plays a factor. Even race. I'd wager a lot of the males here have "yellow fever." But if you're unwilling to date someone that's not of a certain race despite how otherwise perfect they are, I'm sticking by my statement.

I mean saying you can't date someone just because they are african/asian/middle eastern/latino/white is just racism plain and simple.
