You dont know what actually happens in most cases you only see what media shows you. Im sure there are people out there actually regulating this stuff so it is humane enough.

I was responding to you but what I was getting at is that I don't like people coming up to me and shoving their beliefs in my face and getting upset with me when I disagree, I've had vegans do this, I've had actual religious zealots do this and even had charity people do this. The first bit was in the context of vegans, but my statement about acting like a jackass is a general statement and either way I never said that it's only annoying when a vegan does it. Also about your argument about which life I'd rather choose at that point it's not really about whether it's ethical to eat meat or not, it's about treating the animals we end up killing and eating more ethically and that's something that I can get behind and agree with but not to the point where I'd change my diet, I'd rather take the route of exposing the unethical things that the meat industry does.
