@momoichi kaneki is fucking crazy tho, even as king of ghouls. He isnt even his self. After the stuff with jason he adopts the finger cracking thing and all that and acts like a different person. Ur just a tokyo ghoul fangirl, you could have even fucking used kirito from sword art online and held up a better comparison of protagonists than kaneki. Cuz kirito also experiences trauma from aincrad while in the alicization anime. He was a better example of a protagonist with character development than kaneki. You cant even touch subaru rn.

what evidence? i posted actual panels from the manga and everything you told me about his character i tore apart and told you how its skin deep. you said hes a diff character in the second season because hes less gungho but he literally ran into the trial dungeon thing the second the flames went out hes still a fucking idiot that doesn't think things through there is no character growth. you said he isn't using his death ability willy nilly anymore but he did it in the first ep of the second fucking season he hasn't grown at all. any preserved growth is undercut when he does the same dumb shit over again. i told you how kaneki was better with how deep trauma effected him and molded his motivations. you literally just said he was insane when he wasn't. youv never read the manga if you think he is legit crazy. he only ever goes crazy when he is in half kakuja form and every ghoul goes crazy in half kakuja. his split personalities are not 'hes insane' its his coping mechanism. mental disorders do not equal insanity, insanity is what happens when ghouls go half kakuja. they lose their rationality and grip on reality, something kaneki has never done outside of kakuja. so you have not debunked kaneki being an amazing protagonist when it comes to depicting trauma if you want though to switch to a more analogous case to subarus homura from puella magi. tell me how subaru was more realistic then homura when it came to dealing with the pain of having to kill yourself to save your friends
