What do you like about anime?

We all come to that question of what is anime to us or what do you like about anime the most that has a strong to it? That's why I am wondering what is anime to all of you because the enemy is like a buffet of choices where you can send for Milan anything that you want and see if it is good but also able to throw it out if it tastes terrible.

i love animation as a whole because using it we can create things and scenarios that could never otherwise exist the only limits of animation are our own imaginations by extension i love anime because western cartoons simply arent as mature and story driven, opting instead for comedic one off episodes instead of episodic story archs as thats the safer choice when replaying reruns they cant simply play a random episode if its episodic because there needs to be context anime on the other hand ignores churns out alot of moe non plots, sure, but also have so many story driven animations as well i hope western society can see that its not such a gamble to invest in story driven cartoons we're already seeing that trend emerge with Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, and Star Vs as these are all story driven shows, though they do have filler eps for rerun purposes i would like to see old monster of the week cartoons make a comeback. its alot more creative then the pure comedy cartoons out there

There's a heavy nostalgia factor for me, having grown up with Toonami, but I like the solid plots that you just don't see in 'reality' TV and American-made cartoons. And over the top battle scenes are enjoyable too(looking at you, DB Super)

The art an animation can be so well done, just amazing. The stories they come up with are often times things we'd never get as TV shows or just wouldn't work. Stuff that's way more mature and often heartfelt. Also the girls and traps >_>
