my nonrational religious side? y'all going to hell rational logic side? its the logical next step in human evolution as long as we dont use it for superficial reasons like height or eye color or changing the gender of the child and instead strictly for the purposes of eradicating genetic malfunctions than im all for it make it so a kid who would have been born with retardation is born normal instead? who could argue against such a thing? edit: i just remembered cerebral palsy isnt congenital, fixed

Considering there was that Chinese scientist or whatever that one time who said he was close but then the whole science community axed him and all he wanted to do was correct current diseases to help family i’d Say that’s okay as long as it’s to help those in need (highly doubt though cause people will try and kill it before it comes to fruition until they can monitize it for their own gain) bu in reality even if does work Gov. Will take it away and tax it or if it gets to public a lot of people will discriminate against designer babies or whatever and might have tough childhoods, someone will say you need giant ass health care or fuck you to get modified. There’s one giant issue PEOPLE WILL MOST LIKELY REFUSE TO MAKE THE GENTICALLY MODIFIED CAT GIRLS AND REAL LIFE WAIFUS THAT ELON-CHAN SHOULD’VE MADE ALREADY, BITCHES UP THERE IN THEIR LAB COATS PREVENTING THE NEXT STEP IN WAIFU EVOLUTION IN OUR FINGER TIPS THOSE BASTARDS!

well the chinese dude didnt ask the permission of the parents, and it had already been confirmed one of the twins still had the disease. i think he was doing it out of his own morbid curiosity, but who can say it will definitely be a privilege for the rich when it first comes out, and im sure people will use it for cosmetic reasons despite it being illegal, but i think (or id like to think) it will become the health care standard to eradicate any genetic malfunctions i think it's just a generational issue the next generation will probz be more welcoming to the idea then the last, as they usually are will it happen in our lifetime? hard to say. i would guess it wont be mainstream atleast

I'm all for it. If I could of been fixed before I was born that would of changed my life completely.
