Favorite Bad Guy/Villain/Antagonist

For now this shall do.

He doesn't wait around for the protagonist to make a move unless he is actively being constrained. His motivation is pretty reasonable in that Akim wants to have the power to make a world he can be a part of, have fun, and control. Wasn't a fan of being betrayed and partially got his revenge until he fucked up by attempting to absorb a power that devoured its host. His will however continued to live on in his 2 daughters after his demise.

He was supposed to be the ultimate in justice, a judge to keep order. Instead he became nothing more than a madman. He could see the future, but only the most bleak and horrific version of things to come. His cruelty was boundless, going so far as to put the desecrated corpses of his foes on his armor to send a message to those who stood against him.

Askeladd from Vinland Saga for me. A well written, nuanced character in a brutal world; going in cold not knowing what to expect is the way to go. Toguro from Yuyu-Hakusho is also a good choice - He was why the dark tournament arc was such a compelling watch.

Hollow Ichigo. He was so pure in his evil intent. He didn't care whether the enemy was friend or foe. He just wanted to rip things apart. There is something to respect about that.
