What are you afraid of?

I used to be afraid of driving, No really... My father always made it the most stressful act when I was first learning to do it. So whenever I got behind the wheel, I froze in fear... But thankfully with time, I was able to overcome that. It was funny because I was never afraid of anything else... I've faced gang-members for my sisters. I've even been stabbed twice. Was never afraid of approaching people. I even jumped out of planes. Rock climbed a mountainside. Even the hardest metals that are conditioned in the hottest furnaces are cracked somewhere. But the simple act of driving was my Achilles heel. My father's attempt to make the strongest eldest son he could ended up making someone who struggled with that for years afterwards until his son's nice supervisor/work-mom took him out and actually taught him how to get over it.

I’m afraid of sleeping at night, cuz I get nocturnal panic attacks. So that’s why I’m a night owl for the past 9 yrs. Also being in crowds, no good for my anxiety.

Losing my job, losing my home, losing everything. Failure. Grew up poor already, kinda tired of it. Learned from the mistakes of my parents. I might have over-corrected a little bit, but I'm in a decent place for my age compared to my parents. Curing poverty takes too many generations. But if you listen to stories of the homeless, you see just how easy it is to lose everything. Anyway, a lot of it contributed to the work ethic I have.
