@warmblood2 I tried my best to stay away from roommates, especially if they were complete strangers. Too many things bother me as I can be possessive and a clean freak. And yeah, cities can be preeeetty sketchy.
@wanzuki17 What you learnt, did you teach yourself or are your profs helping out a lot? For me I find that I'm teaching myself most of the course material-- most of my profs just stand erect and read the slides without offering anything too insightful. It's a shame, really.

I never got to be fully immersed in college life. I lived off campus and had some serious responsibilities that took priority over the stereotypical college experience. But I did enjoy college soooo much more than high school. Even if we weren't close, I was surrounded by people who were interested in the same things as me and didn't judge. I got the chance to get a taste of what it's like to be more independent and get use to what it's like to be an adult. College is an adjustment, though. You go from what's familiar and normal to a big change. You're gonna go through growing pains and it can be tough. But just keep doing your best. This is just one temporary phase of your life. Honestly, what comes after college can be even harder. But focus on your future!

Mixed bag. I enjoyed the time being far away from home being on my own, I made a decent amount of friends and had good grades and everything, but I never got full-time work in my field and the contact I've made with my college friends has been sporadic since graduating.

I was in there for half a year, made a lot of great friends, switched majors, made more friends, found out they cut my financial aid because of my major switch, and... Well, I learned a lot and met cool people. But I did most of my learning outside of college.

Fourth year as a biopsychology major. I love learning and all but the professors really try to keep you busy. Have not made a friend yet. Trying to aim for an internship before I leave.

The first University: I felt so alone. Honestly, as I suffer with major anxiety, it was tough to talk or speak out and when I did, which was whenever a question or topic with in the subject of study was bought up, I was mocked quietly by the people in my class. I can't blame myself for not trying to make friends because I did and actually, I do not regret not talking to those people because they were huge douchebags, who wasted their time.
To be positive, I learnt so many wonderful techniques that were beneficial to my practice.
The second: I wasn't there long enough and dropped out of the course because the tutors kept targeting specific students with verbal abuse. I just happened to be one of them, and at the time, I was far too into what I was doing to just let that go. So, before I left; I reported it and those people were removed from their job, surprisingly.
Overall, I think it was a wake up call for me to pull myself together and find something else.
The third: Amazing. I had my ups and downs, but I'm so thankful I stuck with it for three very exhausting years. It was in London, the place where I felt home and felt the most comfortable with. I learnt so many things from many people and nobody judged eachother. I was able to work on the things I had trouble with (anatomy, research etc) and I was able to build up so many links towards the end. I just wish I could of spent a little more time exploring around the campus tho.
Overall, I loved the last Uni I went to, because I was able to grow and nurture the things I felt were lousy or that I should just give up on. Even when I'm drawing or researching now as an illustrator, I'm very thankful that my tutors were able to provide me with help, guidance and advice when I needed it. I felt that I've gained a new form of confidence, too. In what I do as a professional and as a person.

Hated most of it. I was too sensitive to interruptions during homework and online classes while using desktops and laptops back then when I couldn't afford a smartphone. I got incorrectly advised enough to lose financial aid.
I also wanted daytime classes only, but they were usually unavailable and I lacked being supported by some teachers. Father blamed my lack of personal hygiene care repelling teachers into assisting me, similar to Steve Jobs as a vegetarian spreading body odor from who also went to night shift as well.
I only got a diploma and that is not mentioned in most places that only mention Associate's or Bachelor's degrees with 4 or 5 years of experience.
I got stuck in nightshift and was ordered to do daytime favors for my parents and that caused a conflict that made them kick me out a few years later into my own home.
I wish I was in a better campus. T_T
