Manga VS. Anime

meisterman1985
Manga are said to have been around as far back as the invention of paper. Like text-only story books and novels spawning movie and other media counterparts, manga spawns anime and live action shows and films. Most people mention "anime" more than "manga", because of anime being more detailed by motion and audio. Mangas are not as prominent while still and silent. There are also OVAs as well as stand-alone mangas. Which format do you usually prefer over more than other. Be accurate.

I prefer manga over than anime. I like reading and compiling the books. The story line is the same in both formats, but I think that manga is more intense. Usually, anime is a commercial format because the producers get rid of the unpleasent/controversial/shocking parts. Anyway, since manga sometimes has disturbing or sad chapters, changing these parts in the anime is welcomed. For example, in Lady Georgie's manga the ending is tragic... but they rewrited the last part of the story in the anime. Thanks god! There is no need to suffer twice. Also, I prefer manga style than anime because it's more crafted. Sometimes, manga style is a total work of art.

Of the two? I'm more of an anime fan, if only because manga tends to be a little more pricy, and I have ADD. But depending on how a story is adapted, sometimes the manga really is superior. Outside the two? I prefer visual novels when I can get my hands on them. XD

I like both but manga tend to have a better plot than its anime. Sometime I prefer an anime because of colors, voice acting and soundtrack. If a character was looking outside a window for a short while, I'd be immersed. In a manga I'd probably just stare for a second and flip the page. But some things only work in manga too, like pretty much everything Junji Ito does. One thing I find sad about mangas is that they don't get enough recognition, people would rather watch the anime, if there is an anime about it at all...
