Do you feel like in all the time/years you been here that you never felt truly part of this community?

I dunno tho People ignore people, it happens Who knows the reason Could be cause: - not alot of people have pics of themselves and they dont feel comfortable talking to someone who doesn't have a pic of themselves - some people seem too intense - dont know how to approach someone - they heard some rumors or falsehoods from someone - aren't active - don't have enough or any info about themselves - or just feel overwhelmed by someone Who knows there are many reasons, and I'm just speaking generally

i feel like usually im just that guy thats kinda there and people know it but not the life of the party. Despite my activity being frequent i dont know sometimes i feel ignored other times people talk to me? its weird

I've tried here and there, but I could never get into being a part of the community. So many people have been like, super flaky. So many conversation topics start out innocent and inevitably turn incredibly toxic and dramatic for no reason because, well... assholes. Some of them I can even remember by name and groan anytime I see them arrive to a discussion. Frankly, I'd say any involvement I've had in this community has done more to hurt my self esteem than any real good. At this point, every so often I'll be skimming through the forums and might happen upon a girl that seems interesting and I'll say hi. That's about the extent of my participation lately. I'm not really trying to find a girlfriend here anymore, but I do still want to work on improving my communication skills.

Nothing kills more the mood to post in a topic than some pointless drama/discussion between some troll baiting and someone with a fragile ego.
