Am I doing something wrong?

My advice... don't listen to everyone's advice here. And by "here" I mean the site as a whole. First impressions generally seem good, but like enki mentioned, online a lot of people are wearing masks. You're new, so everyone you see here has a clean slate with you, so you haven't seen the cringe-worthy fails of dudes around here and the way they jail a girl into replying to their comments cuz the girl is just trying to be nice. And then when the girl stops replying, those guys lament about it and go on rants about how girls ghost them "for no reason" (lol there's ALWAYS a reason) or that girls need to have more initiative and stop being so scared. It's not that they're scared to make a move... it's cuz they're just not into them xD And that demographic of dudes are the same guys that will pop up in threads like this to tell others how to be successful in picking up girls. You might as well ask the guy serving iced coffee at Starbucks what stocks to invest in... and if he's the type of person that's dishonest with HIMSELF, then he'll tell you what to invest in, even tho he's never done it himself. Guy: "How can I be more successful with girls?" Guy with no success with girls: "Well, here's what you do..."
