Attraction

http://i.imgur.com/Lf9DQuN.gif Romantic attraction: I've always been a romantic person. I'd rather have feelings, deep bonds and deeper connections for someone. I want to know the person and see if we're meant to be together. If there's no spark, then there's no heart :'( Sexual attraction: ...................................... Uh.......... They're a woman. Ok, done. -insert credits music- Honestly, as long as I like their personality, interests and hobbies (anything from the Romantic part), I almost don't care 100% on looks. Unless if this is meant for the bed variant, in which case, I never found sex to be "sexy". So 0% if it's that variant. But if it I had to say a few things on looks... 10/90 (<- maybe) I don't want to be too detailed on the Sexual attraction for the first comment, so I'll leave it like this for now and I'll explain more in the next one, if anyone is curious. (By this, I mean psychical appearance. Since I'm sure that's the real definition for this. Right?)

Romantic is much more important to me than sexual attraction. Sometimes I've found a heartfelt smile to be enough physically, especially if I was the one that was able to make them smile. It is deeply important for me to develop and have almost a spiritual bond with them, as I think thats what makes sex and love truly enjoyable. That said, I would like my future lover to have some sort of figure. Its very difficult for me to see myself with someone excessively obese, for example

Hard to tell. I'm demisexual/demiromantic so if I form a strong friendship and bond with someone, those two attractions tend to come in waves together. ^^; I guess it's sort of like.....I'm sexually and romantically attracted to the way in which a person exists and how their soul rubs mine, rather than anything else. And trying to get me to understand how "physical" attraction works outside of how I just described it, would be impossible.

Both. While both can be mutually exclusive, I love the romantic aspect but I also love the sexual side of things too - putting them both together is what gets me going. The feeling of loving someone and being loved back is amazing and sex, one of the most intimate physical interactions is an excellent way to express that imo.

romantic first then sexual tbh, i rather have a romantic connection than a connection with someone more interested on when he's getting laid next

Romantic>Sexual but both is best. Its hard finding love as an otaku anyway so if you find someone that puts up with your hobby/lifestyle then it's hard to complain...

Both Much like Yin and Yang, there must be balance between the two elements to create harmony. Even if you aren't attractive or even ugly, you have to make yourself attractive to your partner for that is devotion and a part of romanticism, don't selfishly think that people must accept everything even though they don't want to.

Agreed, I don't think I could personally put one ahead of the other because both are equally natural and *again for me* tend to swing from one to another :v It's rather amusing that almost everyone here is putting more emphasis on the romantic aspect of attraction. The numbers you see online barely translate into anything irl or maybe I'm just surrounded by different kind of people.

Both, I love the romantic aspect but eh it's not going to go really far if I'm not sexually attracted. I don't believe there can be a relationship that lasts in the long run without a balance of both. I know that from experience actually. When I was younger and much more naive I was a hopeless romantic who just believed the romantic aspect was enough for me which lead to some hard lessons where I ended up ending relationships because the sexual attraction just wasn't there. Maybe on the other person's end but on my end? Nah. I kinda ended up as a unintentional heartbreaker honestly. >_> Without that sexual attraction it just feels like a relationship is just a fancy sand castle that you and the other person built together. It's pretty and you're both proud of the accomplishment when you stop to take a look at it. But ultimately it's still made out of sand. It'll be reduced to nothing as soon as a wave washes in.
