Do people actually use them? I really don't like having all these small groups and different discord servers.... Creator-sama, master of MaiOtaku, where are you? Please create a single group chat or discord server.

For what purpose? Isn't the site itself enough for idle discussion?

Yes, which is why it (less groups and chats) should be done, for the purpose of things being less all over the place.

Have you...seen the group part? There are like a hundred different ones, each is pretty much a potential "Random Chatter" forum. Also, there are apparently multiple discord servers made by different people so yeah, all over the place.

Well, the admin can't really do anything about people creating discord servers outside of the site. Are you talking about the forum categories? Cause they look fine to me...

Oooooh. Now I get it. Well, this might sound like I'm being a stick in the mud. But I doubt your wish is going to come true. Sure, admin might pop in and update the site from time to time but it's not like MO was ever properly moderated. Keeping tabs on which groups should go and which should stay I something that only someone that's present regularly on the forum would be able to do.
