It got kinda boring after season 3, most of the original cast left and it just hasn't been entertaining. Honestly, I don't think anybody is having fun with it anymore so it'll probably end soon. Feminism was good battle shounen for a while though.

Feminism is a great thing for society and will always be important. What is a problem and will always be is extremism. What we see more and more on the news are radical feminists who don't care about equality. All that matters to them is power and they use feminism to accomplish their goal.

doppleman, Please elaborate on why Feminism is Still important to western societies? While I agree that many places do need feminism such as third world countries(Where let's be honest, it's terrible for everyone.), I've seen the opposite of feminism needed in Countries such as America, the Uk ect. Where they are doing damage if anything, as a movement, not just individuals, Or twisting facts to make up issues.
doppleman
Hi Leo, you are kind of correct by saying "the opposite of feminism" would be needed in some countries. I wouldn't say opposite, but actual real feminism. "the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes". Right now, our countries are so close to being equal for both genders that some people claiming to be feminist don't know what to do and shout "Sexism" everywhere to get attention. The government is making programs to force company to get like 50% womens in their staff even in places where women usually don't want to work. Advertisments saying that womens should be more represented in physical work or politics. This is where feminism is useful. Womens should be able to make their own choices. If we want equality, womens don't need policies that forces them to do everything as good or better than mens. We need feminists to say "That's enough!" we don't need the society to tell womens they are so weak that they need special treatments in every aspects of their life. I should probably explain more clearly, but it's quite hard to formulate my thoughts in english. Like any organisation, feminism can become corrupted. We shouldn't just wipe out the idea, but it does need a serious rework in western societies.

Doppleman, Your English is better than most people my age over here as is. While I understand that is the definition of feminism, to be fair, Gay use to only mean being happy, but now it represents lgbt. Words change over time. For instance, around almost 100% of people believe the sexes are equal, however less than a third of the population identify as feminists here in America. What I'm saying is it's proof that you don't need Feminism to bring equality, as it's only one organization. That would be called affirmative action, and it's sexist. Choosing people over their sex/race, over merit and skills, Just because there are less of that certain sex/race in the job. They refuse to acknowledge that while men and women are equal in value, they are different and choose different career paths in general. I see what you're saying, But Feminists and Feminism is what created Affirmative Action. The issue is that Feminism falls in the identity politics line of thinking, or in other words, Social Marxism. Which believes in equal outcome(There must be fifty/fifty in everything), instead of Equal opportunity that exists in western countries of today.
doppleman
Hmm, yeah, I guess you are right. I agree that every individuals are mostly considered equal and should be. The only reason why I think feminism should always exist is to keep things that way. Sure, if the meaning of feminism changes, I will change my opinion. Like you said, affirmative action and identity politics are ridiculous. Feminists using those are now sexist and identity politics are racist. I just don't understand why so many people are so fond of those. Let me correct myself. I said "every individuals are mostly considered equal". In my country, affirmative action is called employment equity. Looking at the vote intentions, I would say about 60% of my country wants employment equity or don't understand what it is. If so many people think we need all these governmental programs to regulate who is getting hired based on their race/gender, I think we need to do something about that, but I'm not a feminist nor an activist of anything, so I'm not going to do anything else than complain :p
leo_ss
The issue is, Feminism isn't needed to keep things that way, infact, as I pointed out, it's doing the opposite of what it claims being sexist towards men. It's the same reason I despise identity politics, it's just a facade to push for legal racism. Hell, if you want to call yourself a part of a movement that pushes Equality, Go Egalitarian. It means the same thing, but doesn't come with the negative aspects of feminism. The issue is, so many people think Western countries need things like that, is because they've gobbled up the idea of "Men and Women are exactly the same, Other than physical attributes."(And some don't even believe we have different physics naturally.) While ignoring biology affects mentality. Meaning in their minds that if it's not half, half, something is oppressing women or others, to not have that same level. They just also conveniently ignore that men also work jobs most woman would despise, like trash, plumbing, ect. But the fact is, Western countries are Equal in opportunity. Everyone can become whatever, as long as they have the skills for it. But that's not enough for them.
