I thought fruits basket was a reverse harem with a girl living in a house of guys who transformed into animals. Its just a high school harem.

I only say reverse harem because its a girl surrounded by guys as opposed to guy surrounded by girls. Its not lewd in any manner.

I liked fruits basket more! Fruits basket is much more colourful and has light humor. On the other hand... Vampire Knight has some darker atmosphere with continuous tensions between character's relationship. Vampire knight may have beautiful characters but I was more comfortable watching fruits basket.
