Ahh, I see. Having a blocking weapon helps, because you can block almost all of Kirin's attacks, except the lightning lines. When you're taking on Kirin, you just need to take it on Guerrilla style: hit a few times, dodge out of the way, regather and repeat. The only problem you'll have is when he's in super armour. Using bow guns with sticky/slicing ammo is ideal, Mind's Eye jewels are a big plus for melee weapons, or you can pick up GL and shell through the super armour. Once you're more comfortable with reading Kirin's attacks, you can switch to your more preferred weapons.

Cruising back on in here after being a tad sick! Let me know if I can help any of you on some hunts! Aside from the Kirin hunts, haven't had luck in groups just solo. But he is a fun fight!
